Using universal module

Joomla module concept is very powerfull but in many time you need X module for your project (a slideshow, a list etc)

In Flexicontent we create "universal module" :

  • Create list of content with any value, filter or order
  • Choose or add you template (carousel, list, news etc)
  • Display context (view, device)

For this site in home we add 4 universal modules :

  1. Last movie : a carousel with 10 last movie
  2. Top 10 TV shows : a column carousel with 10 last tv show
  3. Most rated : a column carousel with most rated content
  4. Top box office : a news display of movie how have done the higer revenue (flexicontent field)

Last movie added

  • Create a Flexicontent universal content module
  • Select carousel template
  • Set total item wanted (feature can be first content outside carousel)

In item list we choose ordering

in slected item choose content peer type

Now in layout you can manage carousel option

In content parameter you can set displayed field

Top box office module

in this module we use news display with a feature item

we use flexicontent field to order items

Set movie

And set that feature item had a different display than other
